The “woman in red” vs the ”woman in white” are contrasting versions of a woman’s sexuality. Innocence and seduction are the stereotypical two side of the coin; both considered alluring as they are historically packaged for the opposite sex’s consumption in film, literature and media. We see it play out time and again, the story of punishment for a “bad” or celebration of a “good” woman, in juxtaposed extremes. But what really is woman outside of this narrative? Archetypes is a blatant illustration exploring this question in unapologetic, bold expression.
